I'm now trying to make the switch to Fin2014. It seems that Fit to page is
permanently greyed out in the print dialog. Can anyone else confirm?

What's the quickest way of switching instrument parts in a score? Is there a
plugin? Say, I need about ten measures of the Clarinet part to played by the
Alto Sax and vice-versa. What I usually do is copy one of the parts in an empty
staff to save it and then proceed with a copy and paste
You need to exchange passages? Very easy. Copy the alto passage, but don't
paste it. It will stay in the clipboard. Select the clarinet passage, then in
Mac opt-click the first measure of the alto staff (Windows is this alt-click?).
This will paste the clarinet into the alto staff without using
Darcy and everyone,
Under layout I clicked on the 2 up then 4 up and back to 1 up and the box was
activated as well as the title page box.

I tried the different clicks several times and each time the grayed boxes were
activated.

Here's something that drives me crazy in recent versions. Suppose I have a
text title consisting exclusively of a text insert (such as Composer or
Title). I can't figure out a way to add text before that text insert
without changing the contents of the text insert. In trying to make things

front of the insert - start typing. to add text after the insert press
end and start typing.

You can use the arrow keys to position the cursor before the text insert, or
just type the additional text before adding the insert.

Be forewarned that floppy disks are not a good medium for long term
storage. The little magnetic doo-das eventually fade. If you have things
on floppy, copy to a hard drive and make backups! I have been
contemplating using cloud backups, but I'm still a bit suspicious of
their reliability.

If I understand correctly, you are placing composer and lyricist on separate
lines in one text box? Wouldn't it be simpler to place composer and
lyricist in separate (each in its own) text boxes?

thick line, then any typing will change the insert. If the cursor is thin, then
it's not part of the insert and you're safe to add text.
