I'm getting this error dialog, apparently a Finale error because Finale's logo
is in the box:
While attempting to access ~TemporarySaveFile~ the
File Manager reported an error.
Would someone explain that to me and if I can fix it and how?
There's 2-3 files that have remained open in the
One of the new features of Mac OS Mavericks is menu bars on every monitor.
I suppose I'll eventually get used to it and come to like it, but one of
the negative side effects is that every version of Finale before 2014 has
the problem that if you ever maximize a window on a secondary monitor, you
You do know that if you do a Command-Period (.) it will go back. I'm assuming
you mean FULL screen where it makes the menu bar disappear.

No not where the menu bar disappears. That's the whole problem. When I
click the maximize button on a window on a secondary screen, pre-14

of the window? That does disappear when maximized window is evoked but if you
tap the top of the screen the menu bar display appears and the double arrow
appears in blue on the menu bar also on top right. That will
No, I'm talking about green maximize button in the upper left.

Weird. It may be feature of my Thundebolt-connected DVI monitors. Who

Huh. Maybe. On my macpro, its not an issue. On my hackintosh, one

These are DVI monitorss connected through passive Thunderbolt adapters.
I've had some other weirdness with them. (It turns out you can only connect
two that way.) This is the only think I can think of. I did discover that
another way to recover the window bar is to mess with the Display settings
I'm trying to create a leadsheet for Benny Golson's Blues on My Mind, and
there are rhythm kicks integral to the song. I wanted to notate them above

If you need to notate pitch you can possibly use layers and reduce notehead
size.

Don't use the Ossia Tool. Put the kicks in a separate layer above staff, reduce
size, and use the Hide Ledger Lines plugin.
