Does anyone have a copy of Igor Engraver Classic? I'm presuming it's a music font for Igor engraver. It was used in an old score I've been tasked with updating but I don't have a copy of the font. I tried contacting Noteheads, the makers of Igor Engraver but the site doesn't appear to have been

I believe the problem lies in the fact that the two different sample sets were not recorded at the same volume level. Apparently the pizzicatos were recorded much louder than the arcos, so at the same indicated dynamic level in your score they won't sound at the same volume. This is my

David is correct — the problem is that the Garritan sounds were never actually meant to be used in a notation program. They were meant to be used in a Digital Audio Workstation environment, where one would have much more control and automation over levels. Best (stop-gap) solution is hidden

Another thing you can try is go into studio view, where you can adjust the volumes of each staff independently. I found this out the hard way, having had similar volume balancing problems. On a PC, you can either click the View menu, then Studio View, or you can type Ctrl-Shift-E. For what
