Do you mean everything the same good, or everything the same still broken?
I'm thinking I might spring for 2014 if the worst stuff is fixed (I'm presently
on 2012).

Gon for the update, just with not much hope, I must admit. I also may say that
once updated I haven't yet had the chance to properly test Finale but, with my
surprise, I found out that two issues, one of which quite serious for me, where

I can't consistently get an option to export an .mp3 audio file.
Often it only offers WAV or iTunes.
Any ideas?

It's determined by your playback sounds. If you use Garritan, only WAV. If you
use general MIDI, then you can choose mp3.
Import the WAV file into iTunes and concert to mp3 on that program (or use a
different audio application).

Someone from this list (sorry I don't remember who) suggested the use of the
free software All2MP3 wich does the job of converting almost any audio format
on the fly.
