John, I don’t think it is…I’ve been playing around with the MIDI setup, rebooting Finale and my computer, and somehow my system is working again. I have no idea what it is that I did to fix it. I guess I shouldn’t look a gift horse… On Aug 4, 2016, at 3:28 PM, John Blane

I’m beginning to think the problem is with my MIDI synthesizer and not Finale. Even with Finale closed, when I press any note on my synth, I get the mallet sound after I release the note on the synth keyboard. Any clue what might be causing my synth to do this, and how I can stop it from

What would you need to know? I’m great at using my system when everything is working, but not so good at the technical side of things. On Aug 4, 2016, at 3:13 PM, j...@thomastudios.com wrote: > Hmm. It almost sounds as if something in your MIDI stream is generating a > note-on MIDI even for

Hmm. It almost sounds as if something in your MIDI stream is generating a note-on MIDI even for a note-off event. More details about your MIDI setup might be useful here. *** J D Thomas ThomaStudios > On Aug 4, 2016, at 12:02 PM, Martin Banner

I get the percussive mallet sound whenever I press and release any note on my MIDI synthesizer, even if I am not entering a note onto a staff in finale. Trying to figure out how to be able to play a note on my synth without the mallet sound occurring after I release my finger from the synth.

By "instrument list", do you mean in the Score Manager? Sent from my iPhone > On Aug 4, 2016, at 2:44 PM, "j...@thomastudios.com" > wrote: > > Check in MIDI assignment in the instrument list. Sounds as if you have a > percussion sound applied where you don’t want it.

Check in MIDI assignment in the instrument list. Sounds as if you have a percussion sound applied where you don’t want it. *** J D Thomas ThomaStudios > On Aug 4, 2016, at 11:34 AM, Martin Banner wrote: > > I created a brand new file in Finale

I created a brand new file in Finale 2012 on my iMac today, and now when I enter notes using my MIDI keyboard/synth and speedy note entry, every time I enter a new note and lift up my finger from the keyboard, I hear a percussive mallet sound. Any ideas what’s causing this, and how I can get
