No Low C on Bass Clar either. You have to buy the Garittan Orchestra Package to get missing notes. I've used the Soft Synth Contra Bass Cl to cover the Low C's, but it doesn't fit with the Garittan, too fuzzy, fat and woofy. Weak? Then I've known and played with SO Many Weak Players, from the San Francisco Symphony, and virtually ALL groups I've ever played in. Players who mark their parts to be SURE of the accidentals. Check your precious Finale Parts sometime, see what the players marked in. Or the Conductor. When that happens to me in 2012, I add additional Dynamic Expressions, duplicating whatever previous Dynamic was marked. sometimes several in one bar. Hi, The chord in question is C-11/G. You mentioned C being a melody note. Put C on top of the F-Bb-Eb-G, and you'll hear it. The F-Bb-Eb-G voicing is the standard 4th voicing for Cminor. so the progrssion is basically--- C (major) to C minor, with the appropriate scales. Hi, I can recommend several things to those interested in Jazz harmony. The Aebersold Miles Davis Transcribed Piano Voicings, by Marc Levine, Herbie Hancock Transcriptions by Bill Dobbins, and any Thad Jones Scores. These are treasure-troves of practical info. Anybody who thinks that the 3rd and 4th can't be in the same chord will expand their horizons! Also there's a book or 2 by Dan Haerly, also from Aebersold. It's all great stuff!! Select All just puts the Styles on every staff, not what I want. Only certain individual staves ( for me ) have them, so applying them last, before Generating Parts is what I've found that works. [Finale] Audio Engine Fail
Hi, Restarting my Computer fixed that for me, until it happens again, then I repeat! Some have said having anything plugged into the Headphone jack would fix it. [Finale] Multi Meas Rests
I've had to Delete Linked Parts and Re-Generate a few times because of that, or Chord Symbols/Staff Styles not showing. It works, but you have to re-format the parts. "From the Staff Menu, select "use selected Staff Styles for score and parts". I'll try that, but I always select display in Score and Parts when I apply them.
