Hi I'm having problems with the Jazz Text font not showing on screen.
I have a number of files that I created on Mac Finale 2002b.r2 with OS 9.2.2 and used the Jazz Text font on some titles eg "Lilting". Installed in the Fonts folder were bitmaps, postscript Type 1, and True Type font versions of Jazz Text.
Since that time I upgraded to a G4 DP 1.25Ghz Mac with OSX 10.3.9 with Classic OS 9.2.2. I now need to revise these scores and imported them into Finale 2005a.The titles with the Jazz Text font appear as a series of boxes. In the file, I used only ordinary alphabetical characters for the Jazz Text. I checked the title in the Expression Selection dialog and saw the title as "little boxes". Edited the Expression and checked the font's character settings windo. this shows the Jazz Text font and the title in the preview pane as OK. But on exiting the dialogs, the on screen title is still 'little boxes'.
I checked the original files in Classic with Finale 2002b.r2 and the file appears on screen and prints OK.
I checked with Font Book and the postscript type 1 file preview is OK but the True Type versions don't bring up previews so I've disabled them for the time being.
