Thank you Michael, it looks like it's a matter of finale on my mac only: I'll try to find out why of this behaviour. I just ended a quite long correspondence with the finale tech support team because of crashes and redundant requests of authorization every time I launched finale. These problems are over now that I had to reinstall Maveriks due to system's booting issues and the B update seems to have fixed some major bugs. Although, the problem with Expression Selection window still appears.
