Hi Gary,

I'm using FinMac2005. I notice that the problem comes and goes, even with the same document.

To elaborate -- sometimes, after first launching Finale, the Staff List updates correctly. Then, after working for a while, it will stop updating correctly. Sometimes (but not always), quitting and relaunching Finale will correct the problem.

Cheers,

- Darcy

Greetings -

In Finale 2005, when I changed the staff assignments in a saved Staff List in a 10-stave document (Setup Wizard/Maestro) and scrolled the Staff List nothing changed on the screen - nor should it until the changes are OK'd. When I clicked OK in the Staff List dialogue and the Measure Expression dialogue, the changes I had made appeared but the handles of expressions which had been removed from the Staff List persisted until I changed tools or manually updated the layout.

The same was true in Finale 2004, although it requires 12 staves to fill the Staff List window to prompt a scroll.

Which version of Finale are you using?

Please let me know if I can be of further help.

Thanks,
Gary

Subject: Staff List Dialog doesn't update (MacFin2005)

Hello,

Changes made to the staff assignments in the Staff List dialog box
aren't updated on-screen unless you either (A) scroll the staff list
(which obviously only works if you have 8+ staves), or (B) close the
window.

At first, I thought this might only be a problem with older, imported
documents, but I just reproduced the problem with a score created from
the Coda-supplied Maestro Default File using the Setup Wizard.

The problem doesn't happen with 100% of my files, but certainly more
often than not.
