the disadvantage of doing all parts at once is that any edits you
have done to the MM rests (width, ends of symbol to avoid clef
changes) will be set to the default

|No need to break. Just select all and create. Create for "all parts and
score" while
|you're at it. This happens to me so often I don't even think about it any

if you have the auto-update function in the MM rests options
UNchecked and add music to a measure previously contained in a MM
rest, you will have to select the MM rest and "re-create" it
if that isn't it then you have bigger problems :-)
