Try Robert's Mass Copy plugin to remove all note alterations.

Hi all,
I was working on various staff spacings in an area without stems and not
watching and I accidentally selected everything and removed all
with Note Mover, Reverse Stems and all the
rest of that crap. TGTools was so elegant, but it won't work either from the
dialog or the usual keyboard shortcut, and Finale seems to only show the old
multi-step method. And I have a boatload of these to do.
Thanks.

Update: I did get TGTools to cross-staff. I was using the wrong keyboard
shortcut. Doh!!
But my overall concern about the future of TGT still lingers. I for one would
be more than willing to pay for an upgrade.

Besides going thru the Staff Attributes dialog and adjusting select stave

When I first read this suggestion I thought it was a bit flakey. But over the
past few days, whenever I re-encountered the bug I ran my middle 3 fingers over
the QWERTY keyboard. Back in business. Go figure.
Good call jef.

I agree Finale should do this automatically. But this option has been
available on every version of Finale since v2.0 back in the dark ages (1990s).

Actually, I had not known about the option= keystroke until Chuck mentioned it.
Haven't had a chance to test it yet.
If the tie is in the wrong direction, can you use the flip option in Special
Tools to get it right?

Craig,
FWIW, I WAS able to create a 2nd ending tie in Finale 2012 Mac using the
option-click method from Speed Entry. I then could use the Special Tools Ties
tool to flip the tie in either direction.
If you're not able to do this, I suspect file corruption. Because it DOES work.
