[Finale] bars too full

Enter the Speedy tool and go to the speedy entry menu and uncheck fill with rests. ___ J. I see it under the speedy options menu when using the speedy entry tool. There is a box to check or uncheck if you want to reset the fill with rests at end of measure option. There's also a check box under staff options in the staff tool menu that controls rests appearing/not-appearing in measures. There might be other places.
