An extracted part in 2008 is nothing more than a saved copy of the linked part. And if you think about it, a linked part can't automatically insert anything -- it has to be something that you put there. In page view, select the text tool. Double-click and drag to add a text box. Then do Text | Inserts | Part/Score Name. Position the box where you want it. Then hold down the linking override key (Ctrl on Win), right-click on the box, and uncheck Show. This will hide the box in the score only (since you don't want a big label saying 'Score') but leave it showing in all the parts. Depending on your operating system version, you may be able to save as PDF from the first print dialogue. Does the lower left corner of the first print dialogue have a PDF button pull down?
