Emerald Ash Borer Educational Workshop
Tuesday March 27, 6:30-8:30pm
at Cooperative Extension Education Center, 615 Willow Avenue, Ithaca NY
Join City of Ithaca Foresty Technician Jeanne Grace and Cornell
Entomologist Mark Whitmore for this FREE information session on the
Emerald Ash Borer, a pest that is likely to invade ash trees our area
in the next 10 years. Emerald Ash Borer was found in Western NY last
year and it spreads at a rate of about 20 miles per year unless it is
spread via infested firewood. This workshop provides instruction on
how to monitor for the pest, the life cycle and what to expect once
it arrives. Open to nursery and tree specialists, and the general
public. Note: EAB only affects ASH, so if your property does not
have any ash trees, other trees are not affected. Because space is
limited, we ask that you call (607) 272-2292 to pre-register. Email
Maria Christian at mj...@cornell.edu for more information.
