2017 Open Farm Days
Saturday & Sunday, August 12 & 13, 12:00-4:00pm each day
@ Farm locations across Tompkins County, NY

2017 Open Farm Days is a FREE 2-day annual event that allows visitors to
experience local agriculture up-close. Farms across Tompkins County will open
their gates to the public for farm tours, demonstrations, food tastings, and
animal interaction for an afternoon of family-friendly farm fun! Bring a cooler
-- many farms will have products to sell, and there are additional farm markets
along the way!

This year's tour features 18 farms including: several dairy farms (including
two with cheese-making operations); organic and non-organic fruit and vegetable
farms; farms that raise bison, llamas, horses, heritage pigs, ducks, mushrooms,
flowers, and organic grains; a "forest farm"; a maple sugar bush; an apiary; an
equestrian facility; and a non-profit "incubator" farm that trains new farmers.

Farms on the east side of Cayuga Lake are open on Saturday, August 12th from
12-4pm, while farms on the west side of the lake are open on Sunday, August
13th from 12-4pm. See photos and get details on all the farms at:
http://ccetompkins.org/agriculture/ag-events/open-farm-days or pick up a
printed brochure in Ithaca at CCE-Tompkins (615 Willow Avenue), the Tompkins
County Convention & Visitors Bureau (904 E Shore Drive), Alternatives Federal
Credit Union (125 N. Fulton Street) and at various farm markets around Tompkins
County.
