Browsing through the fink bot logs, I see that other people now have
come around to see that gettext needs to be recompiled when upgrading to
10.3. In order that this wisdom doesn't get lost once more and the
revision finally gets its necessary bump, I am forwarding an email
exchange from one
If you're developing new packages on 10.3, please start the Revision at
10 so that it's easier to backport them to 10.2-gcc3.3 without
conflicts (if it turns out there needs to be differences).

yesterday I encountered a potential show stopper bug, apparently in
gettext. I need your help to analyze it since I (stupidly) overwrote my
bad .deb files, so now I can't find out what was wrong.
But let me start at the beginning. The problem occurred like this:
