The more I think about it, the more I think that %n should be used for the
truncated name. That currently shows up in lots of places; not only the
patch file, but often in the Source: line and so on.
I think we need a %versioned_name type of percent field for the fully
expanded name.

...which is %Vn (variant name, get it?). Here's what I just added:
%n is now non-variant portion of Package (i.e., %type_*[]
please add libevent to the 10.2-gcc3.3 tree. a user has successfully
built it and wishes to use it in that tree.
