libming1-shlibs 0.4.5-3 is one of the last remaining packages to use the old-version "giflib" library. I stole another distro's patches for giflib7 (fink's packaging of the newer lib) support and put it in my experimental dir (on cvs.sf). Okay to commit? dan -- Daniel Macks dma...@netspace.org

Remi, I've also confirmed that the new root5-5.34.30-1 packaging passes 'fink -m' for root5-cernlib and root5-pythia. While testing the root5-pythia, I discovered that root-pythia fails the flat_namespace shlibs check in the fink validator on 10.10. I assume this is an essential use flat_names

Remi, The root5 package needs updated to build under Xcode 6.3. I've uploaded packaging to fink tracker at https://sourceforge.net/p/fink/package-submissions/4493/ which upgrades it to the new 5.34.30 release which solves the issue described in the thread at https://root.cern.ch/phpBB2/viewtop
