Martin,
I see the same error building g77 on my Powermac dual G5. I have
Darwin 6.8.5 installed (still waiting on my copy of Panther). This
is with the 10.2-gcc3 fink rsync and using the Aug 2003 gcc-3.3
updater from connect.apple.com.
One other question. Does anyone with g77 3.4 compiled know
if the new flags Apple added to gcc 3.3 are supported?
-mcpu=970 -mtune=970 -mpowerpc64 -fcpu_subtype_ALL -mpowerpc-gpopt
I was benchmarking xplor-nih on my new G5 and the results are
shockingly bad compared to a Xeon 2.4 GHz machine. I am hoping
that the current g77 has some modifications to improve fp
scheduling into the two fpus in each G5. It seems to need it.
