I would like to thank all of you for your assistance in implementing the
most recent phase of the shared libraries project.  By now, virtually
all packages which contain .dylib's also have the Shlibs: field which
declares those .dylib's, and virtually all of the Shlibs fields use the
"revised" format which was discussed on this mailing list a few weeks ago.

The Shlibs field and its format are now fully documented in the Packaging
section of the documentation, in case you need a reference.

Although up until this point we have been informally modifying existing
packages by adding or correcting Shlibs fields at will, as of the release
of 0.5.0a I would like to ask everyone to treat the Shlibs field the
same as other fields which affect the deb file: if you make a change in
it, you need to change the revision number of the package.
