The patch `dvipsk-TL2010-fix.diff' seems to cause the problem.
Please try:
$ sudo perl -pi -e "s|(patch -d texlive/texk/dvipsk)|#\1|"
/PREFIX/fink/dists/unstable/main/finkinfo/text/texlive.info
$ fink rebuild texlive
If it works, please let us know. I couldn't access the cvs repository
currentl
I've reported the problem to Mr. Kakuto (patch developer),
and he has just updated the patch:
http://w32tex.org/generic/dvipsk-TL2010-fix.diff
which seems to fix the problem in 64bit.
I will update finkinfo when Fink cvs repository comes back.

For a font substitution: could you make a sample tex file
that can reproduce the situation, as far as possible with
requisite minimum commands? For example, Jean's sample file
`tt.tex' reported in
https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=117203&aid=3168548&group_id=17203
was very useful
This info file pulls and sets up minimal context.

What kind of problems will be there in porting because this is what we tried to
add to fink?

The URL doesn't open for me.

I tested your source, but I didn't get such a message
(mktexpk: don't know how to create bitmap font for eurm10)
during the compile.
