Did you check permi
Something I've done recently has caused qt3 to have no information
about any fonts. If I launch qtconfig, I get a window wherein all the
interface text elements are reduced to a couple black pixels. Any
other qt3 app exhibits the same behavior.
I have tried sudo fc-cache -f
sudo fc-cache -r

I managed to build scribus-1.2.1 in 10.4-transitional/stable by simply
copying the qt3-3.3.4, freetype219 and scribus package descriptions from
unstable to stable. All other dependencies are already there, and
everything builds without problem. Scribus works, too. The only
correction was to rem

After some debugging sessions and some googling of qt-related mailing

Before going to the scribus and qt mailing lists with this, I would like

Curiouser and curiouser...
I came across a patch that has something to do with the subject. This
patch was introduced almost a year ago into qt3-3.0.5-6 and was removed
(forgotten?) in the update to qt-3.1. Here it is (from qt3-3.0.5-6.patch):

I am not sure if I want to learn enough C++ to understand what this is
doing. But

You're right, that is a regression. I'll look into making a new
release.

I am not buying this explanation completely, because on Darwin, this

look like a problem involving randomly filled memory locations.

When i try and run qmake this is what I get. Should we be setting the
value for this in the Qt3 install? Or is it a temp value I should be
setting in the CompileScript?
QMAKESPEC has not been set, so configuration cannot be deduced.
