Sorry to bother all you fine folks with probably a trivial problem, but
I'm having trouble updating a few packages.
Having set up Fink to retrieve from CVS, did a selfupdate and discovered
that quite a few packages had been repackaged so to say, with the
addition of the shlibs. Most of the
At the end I'm getting:

/sw/lib/libintl.dylib(localcharset.lo) definition of _locale_charset
/sw/lib/libiconv.dylib(localcharset.lo) definition of _locale_charset
/usr/bin/ld: warning unused multiple definitions of symbol

Mr. Morrison,
Thanks for the help, I would have responded sooner but your email
didn't land in my inbox somehow. I only found it by searching the

Works fine over here. Do you have the unstable tree activated by
chance? If so, try editing your /sw/etc/fink.conf, and make sure the
unstable tree is listed in there *before* the stable tree.

Which version of gdk-pixbuf is that?
What OS version? is /bin/sh the default or a link

Sorry to keep posting problems I have, but...
I tried installing gaim, and it seems to install all the dependents fine,
but at the very end, it says:
rm -rf gaim-0.56-3
mkdir -p /sw/src/gaim-0.56-3
bzip2 -dc /sw/src/gaim-0.56.tar.bz2 | tar -xf -
bzip2: /sw/src/gaim-0.56.tar.bz2 is not a bzip2
Last night I did a fink selfupdate (from CVS), followed by a fink

(or is it the shlibs that take a long time to build?). Anyway,
hey analytical minds out there :)
OS ver.: OSX Server 10.1.2
Fink dist.: 0.4.0 CVS
Package manager: 0.9.12 CVS
It was alright for the entire 24 days since the server I administer has
been up. Today, while trying to run selfupdate-cvs (i do everyday) I ran
suddenly into this:
Jackpot!
Thanks Max.
