I can't seem to get my proxy in Fink configured at work. The one I am given
by my sys admin is in this form:
-xxx..xxx.xx.xx:port
When I enter this using "fink configure" it takes it ok, but I still can't
seem to access the CVS. I seem to remember that fink wants the proxy server

'fink remove ' will remove the package, of course.
I don't know of an automated way to remove the dependencies: you may
just have to look at your package's .info file.
You'll have to do the .deb files manually, too, as far as I know.

How can I remove a package with all its dependencies that are not used
by other packages ? Is there a way to do this with fink ?
How can I also delete .deb file from removed packages ?

I finally got Evolution to install, and at least started it. I

In the file /sw/include/w3c-libwww/wwwsys.h, on line 945, it says:

On my system at least, this gets defined, and c

How many Fink users have tried svn-client? What are they running their

Hi everyone,
In order to get some of my packages into stable (hopefully) before the
next Fink release, I need feedback on the following packages which are
in unstable (and are not in stable), or have updated versions in
unstable:

Okay,
I ran fink selfupdate-cvs, then ran fink update-all. When I first
installed fink, I used dselect, but a few months ago I started using the
fink system more & more because it seemed easier to get to the programs
I wanted (which weren't available at that time as binaries). So for

Just wanted to report that I was getting a link error w/ openldap, using
fink 0.10, with unstable/main, unstable/crypto (10.2, 6c115). Here's the
output:
cc -fno-common -I../../include -I../../include -I/sw/include
-L/sw/src/openldap-2.0.19-1/openldap-2.0.19/libraries -L/sw/lib -o ltest
test.
That worked just fine.
Thanx,
