Ok, so I went ahead and built the threaded version of X, but now I have a
question. Is it possible to use OroborOSX with the threaded X? It starts
up just fine, so I guess the real question is: Will it take advantage of
the threaded nature of X, since OroborOSX contains its own version of the

Hi
I notice that aria package which was in 10.1 list is no longer in 10.2 list.
Is there any plan to include this useful web download tool back in 10.2
package list ?
In the mean time, is there any other similar tools that i can use in 10.2.2
?
Thanks for your information.
Best Regards
Jim
To clarify, i don't think we want everyone sending their lists of
installed apps to the fink lists. We do need people to test basic
functionality, not just compile things. We need to know if it works. We
know everything compiles already. And such mails are not really
appropriate for the lists.

efax is an example of why you should send individual messages and not
just blindly send lists of compiled apps. I almost know for certain

Dear Ken,
You were right on target! I had forgotten to source /sw/bin/init.csh

updating to 10.2 (fink still sort of worked because I had manually added
/sw/bin to my path). As to the v-string thing, it's still there, but

I've just tested 'pthread_cancel', and you're quite right. I really
expected this was going to be fixed in 10.2.

Hi,
I'll try and wrap up the situation with octave/octave-forge:
Presently, installing octave via fink will give you octave-2.1.35
compiled with gcc2.95.
The octave-forge package I submitted to the tracker some time ago
should work if you make sure that the gcc2 flag is set (I don't know

Hi,
There's a problem with the Aria package compiling on 10.2.x ... I'll
have a look at it, but I'm not sure how to do it right now.

I noticed on the register this morning a report that stated that libpcap sources had been infected with a trojan. They include MD5 checksums for the altered and unaltered sources for double checking. What is the status on the MD5 checksum for fink -- did it have the right checksum. This site
In reference to my earlier note, it would appear that fink is not

the URL that the Houston group posted and didn't find them. This is
