I have fink and FinkCommander on two systems, both with G4 processors
running 10.2.x.
The one at work has a direct Internet connection, the one at home is
behind a V.90 modem. So I can't download really large packages at
home. But I've got a CD burner and Toast.

1) The source tarballs are downloaded to /sw/src. If you put them there
on the new machine, fink will find them

Yes, you can use the December Developer Tools with Fink.
You'll get an occasional warning about weak libraries not built with
OSX_DEPLOYMENT set to 10.1 (or something like that). You can ignore
these warnings -- eventually there will be a FAQ about this.

Does anyone know how to get the December Tools Project Builder to play with
CVS? The old project builder, all I had to do was do a cvs checkout from
the command line, then create a project in project builder which I added the
files that I had just checked out with CVS. The new one doesn't seem

I used the XDarwin binary from www.xdarwin.org originally to install
xfree86. I used the update to provide compatibility with Jag (I now
have OS 10.2.3)
However, something seemed to have broken with fink - when I tried to
use apt-get to install anything it would say something about unmet
