FWIW, This built and installed for me, but I had to manually remove qt3 for it to work; the installer was aware of the conflict and so stopped; I imagine the dependency engine had been confused. MacOs 10.4.2. Oh, also, the build took some 8 or 10 hours. I'll keep the build log for a few days
