I have been, unsuccessfully, trying to upgrade my fink 0.7.2
distribution to 0.8.0 after I upgraded to Tiger (10.4.2). My fink
setup is plain vanilla binary. I got XCode 2.0 installed.
So I figured it should be possible to perform an easy upgrade,
without trashing /sw and

Moreover, gettext-dev and libgettext3-dev are only supposed to be
build-depends for other stuff, and you should therefore never have to
force remove one or the other.
libgettext3-dev is left in place after I install or update (for
example) KDE, and the next time I do a fink selfupdate it

The package 'gettext-dev' will be installed.

This one works. So it seems that the latest fink takes
exception to mixed
I just realized it was re-installing an older version of gettext-dev.
The new one in unstable behaves ok. May I suggest promoting the new
one (rev. 24) to stable?

Last I heard, (hi drm!) there is still a bug in certain upgrade
I have been unable to build the newest upgrade of kde for the last
couple of days. I am getting an error while building kdelibs3-
unified after several hours of compiling. Here is the end of my build
log.
