After it seems that I'm the only one with this problem and any of my
attempts to solve it (recompile nearly any package, deleting many
preferences files) I resigned. Finally I found GimpShop and here it
works without any problems. And moreover it's a much more recent
version of gimp

i use blackbox with osX.2(jaguar) and putting my dock on the left, blackboxmenu on the bottom, edges of the screen respectively, it works fine.was it never upgraded from jaguar, or just not ported ? anyway, it should
