uh oh. I spoke too soon! yes the original things I was trying to do worked, but I just tried to install mysql with apt-get, and I got this error: dpkg: error processing mysql (--configure): subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 1 Errors were encountered while processi

Marcello, that other thing with locate you suggested didn't work - it returned no error, but it did nothing either. I tried putting the path for dpkg in(like this: sudo /sw/bin/dpkg -i apt_0.5.4-1_darwin-powerpc.deb), and it gave this error: dpkg: `install-info' not found on PATH. dpkg: `updat
