where does the gcc2 package come from?
i gcc2 2.9.5-1: [virtual package representing the gcc2 compiler]
But I have gcc3 (3.3) installed.
I cannot remove the package either:
dpkg - warning: ignoring request to remove gcc2 which isn't installed.

Just a heads up: if fink complains about not being able to find the
package called gcc2, you simply need to upgrade your fink to version
0.15.0 or later.
