Thanks for the report. The problem was that the package was checking the
/usr/bin/gcc build number, and this doesn't exist when /usr/bin/gcc is
clang.
A version which should build for you on 10.8 (it worked for me on 10.9)

There is a new version of pari-gp in the unstable tree, which is designed
to work for xemacs users as well as emacs users. If it works OK for
everyone, I'll make pari-gp "Provide" pari-gp-xemacs and remove
pari-gp-xemacs from fink.
