So, I'm using OS X 10.9.2, with Xcode 5.1, and I'm trying to install xfig,
but I came up with a problem in llvm-gcc42:

OK, thanks. For some reason, I couldn't get the binary distribution
options to work, but your last suggestion of modifying fftw.info worked

I hit some other problems with another package but I'll start a new thread.

While trying to install ghostscript I ran into the issue below.
As you can see, I tried all the suggested changes, including setting the max

I think you've run into the dreaded "clang error". Not sure there is much to
do, but wait for Apple to fix clang or the fink wizards to modify all the
packages that rely on clang.
