In the future, DON’T send questions to fink-users-owner, or we’ll just ignore you. That address is ONLY intended for administrative issues regarding the fink-users mailing list. You can use the mailing lists without subscribing, or subscribe (possibly without receiving email), or use the bug tracker at sourceforge. You've asked two separate questions. 1) You need to install Xquartz (https://www.xquartz.org) to get x11-shlibs and its related packages. (The FAQ is out of date on this).
