Not sure why but even after doing this it still wont accept it in Visual web developer express. The error message displayed in event viewer suggests that The data provider object factory service was not found I've tried both normal and back slashes. If I disable the factory service key by

Perhaps I might be able to lend a little help on the DDEX front ... Here's a few changes to the reg file that should make Firebird packageless. Replace any occurrance of VisualStudio with VWDExpress to make the reg file work on that Express edition: - Cut Here - ÿþWindows Registry
