n the provider
when parsing named parameters, that should be fixed now in CVS, it was
taken @ inside quoted identifier names as parameter names.
And another bug on implicit transaction support.
Initial fixes for both bugs are in CVS now.

That depends but generally yes, as that way the parameter descriptor
could be done without making a request to the server.

What's the sense of size property in FbCommand.Parameters.Add (or
common xxxCommand)? It does not perform any trimming or validation,
right.
It's done internaly for char/varchar parameters.
