Thanks Mark, I've tried executing fbsvcmgr (from the MS DOS prompt) but both
action_display_user_adm and action_display_user are always returning no for
the adm column.

roles are database specific. Check RDB$ROLES and RDB$USER_PRIVILEGES,
you'll probably find out what you need - if not, come back and ask, I'll
dig in more details.
