I've been using Firebird for years, but mainly keeping a very low profile.
I'm planning a Health Informatics project with the University of
Tasmania, and as I've used Firebird to power all the other projects, I'm
planning on using it again.

I am using FSQL (http://mujweb.cz/iprenosil/interbase/fsql.htm) on windows
8 and its working fine. But the setup (created in windows 8, visual studio
2013) is not working on windows 7. Calling FSQL opens a window showing fsql.exe
has stopped working (please see attached image). Anyone

Containing is not case sensitive and cannot use an index. But it could not be
indexed anyway because thestring could occur anywhere in the field, not just at
the start. Starting (or is it starts?) is case sensitive and equivalent to
like% so it can use an index.
