carefully and choose what you really need. For example, you may want to get of  
all users from db (including SYSDBA):
gfix -shut full -force 0

...then allow single attachment...
 gfix -online single
 

 ...to validate database...
 gfix -v -full
 

 ...and finally bring database online for all users


gfix -online
