I am attempting to have a component that when present on the stage immediately sets some flash variables. The problem that I am coming across is that since the component is instantiated like other MovieClips I'm wondering how soon the variables in the component will be available for use.
What's the fastest way to get some variables into my movie that are put into a component's parameters panel and is there a workaround that is standard practice for this?
