responses. I can't say all my uncertainty has evaporated; just my nature i
guess, but I'm on my way to feeling a little less anxious and a little more
enthusiastic.
Probably in about a year this will all seem manageable

Add some to that list:
As2 currently compiles down to As1, I assume this is NOT the case with
AS3, therefore to take advantage of the speed increases that player 8.5
offers, you have to develop in AS3?
Flash's USP as far as I'm concerned is it's very easy to pick and and
develop/design
