When your in a pinch, you could look into one of the components at
www.flashden.com or www.flashloaded.com and look at the methods and
properties that you have access too. Then you can do a lot of custom stuff
around or over that component.
Not the best way, but when time is short, it can work.

2. Learn how to create display objects with code, animate and present them.
3. Learn how to load external images.
