There is no way to know the stage size of an imported SWF. The loading parent only knows the size of the loaded SWF from the elements present on frame 1. You could however place an invisible element the size of it's stage inside the loaded SWF... (I've used that trick before!) Or use

Its called first and is faster because its invoked as soon as you have data, and before you actually parse or process the data. onData is always gonna be called first. onLoad is called when the call has totally completed, there fore at the end of the process, whereas onData is at the beginning.

From the online samples, I don't see any demonstration of the claimed ability to distort the text, just to place the letters along different curves. Am I missing something? I hope so, since I've been looking for a way to do text distortions (such as making text fit a flat-topped arch). -
