I think there might be something you're overlooking. I didn't do this the most scientific waybut I published a huge file I'm working with in Flash 8 and the SWF file size came out at 4.71MB. I tried it in CS3 and it came out at 4.68MB. So there does seem to be a difference, albeit just

Hi Matt, That's a pretty big difference (~30% for the EXE), for exactly the same functionality. I assume you are creating the EXEs (projectors) using the standalone players. Standalone player creates EXE files by appending the SWF to its own executable and then appending 8 more bytes.
