Hm...as far as i know they are trying to integrate the drag and drop
technology in Google Wave, but i think it is only a feature of HTML5.

[Flashcoders] Drag and drop from desktop to browser

2009-10-31 Thread AutGlass Jobs
Hello,

I was wondering would there be a way to drag and drop a file from the
desktop to a an area on a webpage within a browser? If so, anyone know how
that might be done? I know AIR can do this, but I want to try to allow file
sharing to be done specifically from the desktop to within a browser.

Thanks,

Phil

[Flashcoders] Seeking Referral for Lead Flash Developer Contractor

2009-10-23 Thread AutGlass Jobs
Hello,

Does anyone have a referral to a solid Flash Developer who could be
available as a contractor?

Below is the job description:

Overview

My client operates a technology firm with the focus to design and develop
beautiful products. They’re seeking a solid lead Web Developer who is very
comfortable developing in ActionScript 3 along with other platforms, but
most importantly is a solid programmer in general regardless of the
technology.

Responsibilities

You will be helping our company develop software applications while making
use of ActionScript3 as a key technology. You will be working on some truly
unique initiatives. Our plans are bold and the software we plan to build is
radically innovative. For some development projects, you will be the owner
from end to end of the development lifecycle while on other projects, you
will be a key developer working as a small unit with one or two other
developers.

Experience

You have extensive experience developing in ActionScript along with other
platforms, but when developing in ActionScript, you prefer developing in
AS3.

You have worked with AS for over five years.

Skills

- Excellent ActionScript capabilities.

- You are not dependent on Flex and can develop OOP applications strictly
using AS3 with no Flex involved.

- You can also develop applications in other languages as well and can work
in the capacity of an architect or a lead developer.

- Database design capabilities is a plus, but not required.

Education

B.S. or B.A. Degree
