Re: [Flashcoders] Expandable Flash Banners

2014-03-15 Thread Roger Persson

Hi Karl,

Don't know if this is the case for you but if your banner is to be
hosted by a network like Google Ads or AdForm they will have some
specific code you need to use for the expanding to work.

Best regards

Can anyone point me in the right direction for expandable banners? To be honest
I am looking for an example or some script I can just use, but would take tut
or doc links as well. Expandable banners with inset video to be exact. Also,
correct me if I am wrong, but doesn't Javascript handle the expansion part?

TIA.
Best,

Re: [Flashcoders] DoubleClick Studio

2013-09-13 Thread Roger Persson

Hi Paul,

If it's for use with ads I suggest you ask the media bureau or if you
can get a contact directly a google to send you the latest version of
their files and a few demo-files to get you started.

If I remember correctly it's an flash extension you need to install to
have access to their API and an upload tool (or maybe the upload tool
was for something else I did).

Some things are pretty useless in the demofiles, mostly you only need
the clickTAG.

Hope it helps

Re: [Flashcoders] Google Flash ads: Restrictions? Optimal publish settings?

2013-03-18 Thread Roger Persson

Hi Micky,

Short version: all animation must stop after 30 seconds, 20 fps, AS2/3,
Flash Player 10.1

:)

Here's a lot more useful info, I think you will find everything you need
here:

http://support.google.com/adwordspolicy/answer/176108

Read it all but these parts are most important: Flash ads, Click
tags and Content requirements.

Good luck

Hey all,

A friend of mine is having me build some flash ads for a Google campaign.

These are the sizes he asked me to build:

I need to get a couple ads built for our Google campaign. Do you have
the availability? It would be pretty simple. Basically the same ad in
these formats and specs:

-

Ad sizes:
* 320 x 50 Mobile leaderboard
* 468 x 60 Banner
* 728 x 90 Leaderboard
* 250 x 250 Square
* 200 x 200 Small square
* 336 x 280 Large rectangle
* 300 x 250 Inline rectangle
* 120 x 600 Skyscraper
* 160 x 600 Wide skyscraper
* 300 x 600 Half-page ad

Formats:
.GIF, .JPG, .PNG, .SWF

Max. size:
50 KB

-

When I asked him about the details (like, can I publish as AS3? What
version of Flash do they allow?), he sent me a link to Google’s
specs:

http://support.google.com/adwords/answer/1722096/?hl=en

I could not clearly determine what restrictions Google puts in place
for when it comes to ads that someone submits.

On topic questions:

Anyone here have any tips on the optimal publish settings for
submitting Flash ads to Google AdWords?

Can I use AS3? Do they allow/support recent/latest versions of the Flash player?

-

Sorry to bug ya'll with this. I just was hoping someone on this list
would have some experience they could pass along to me. I really want
to avoid spending a lot of time re-publishing/building my Flash ads
later if I find out that something is done wrong (like, for example, I
use a drop shadow but I have to re-do my work because they don't allow
for that version of Flash Player to be targeted.)

Thanks!

Re: [Flashcoders] Game physics programming needed.

2012-10-28 Thread Roger Persson

Hi, just a quick comment.
I like the graphics and general feel of the game. But since it looks
like it's supposed to be a kids game, maybe there should be only two or
three steps on the z-axis. And it runs very fast on my old machine
(Chrome / winxp / 2 GHz duo) so there's not very much time to read the
signs or jump and stuff like that :)

Best of luck with the remaining development!

'grind',

go up the rail on the platform and fly through the air and hit the ramp

fly through the air, If doesn't jump onto the rail, he should sort of
bounce off it - same with the platform. There are other nuances that
someone more skilled than me could address, but that's the basic idea.

I do have a budget for this, but time is tight.

Re: [Flashcoders] Question: Fullscreen but want to retain a movieClip's width and height

2011-08-10 Thread Roger Persson

Hi Carl,

I'm guessing that you are using
stage.scaleMode=StageScaleMode.NO_SCALE; in your code since you
replied to your own mail ;)

And the reason you havn't been getting any more replies is that
NO_SCALE is the scale mode you should use :)

It's hard to say what could be wrong without seeing any code but do you
by any chance have the video controller inside the same MovieClip as the
video so that both are scaled together? Just a thought...if not, please
post some code.

Re: [Flashcoders] sneaky AIR

hi, it seems like some programs use a locked keychain like
PrivateEncryptedDatak or microsoft intermediate certificates
keychain to store your saved passwords etc. the keychain should go away
when you remove the program. I don't use a mac every day so this is just
what Google told me.

By the way how do you remove a program on a mac? Do you just drag it to
the wastebasket?

How do I remove this? What is it for? AND Why am I locked out of it, its

An Adobe response would be the most appropriate.

[Flashcoders] AS2 controlling timeline of a loaded swf from another site

2011-03-08 Thread Roger Persson

Dear List,

I'm hoping that some one can steer me in the right direction, because
googling this subject gets me nowhere.

I have a banner that is loading an external swf from another site, the
crossdomain.xml is set to *.

When the swf is loaded the banner is supposed to tell the swf to play.
Isn't it possible to tell an external swf to play when it's from another
domain? Seems so, since this works fine in the IDE.

Or is there something else I should think about?

Thanks

Layout is as follows: app is tile based game, there is a terrain cell, which
is a show graphic with added sprite which in order to imitate show sparkles
change its position and flickers. Above all that is tile marker layer which
is of exactly same shape as background and got black fill with low alpha
value. If I add that anim, the thing gets screwed - highlight layer looks
overlaped with neighbouring elements so dark lines appear on joins and that
line is flickering.
If remove that sparkle it's all well. Interesting thing is that
i couldn't record this with screen activity recorder, no bug is visible in
video.
Have anyone seen this and knows a solution? Looks like something which is
connected with flash player screen rendering or smthn like that.
