Note that you could still use coreboot + seabios + gpxe, which works
very well here at sandia.
That said, an arima HDAMA is a changing thing. I suppose they might
have added a write enable GPIO at some point. You could use the note I
sent to this list recently about how to probe the GPIOs for a

Have we crossed some boundary where we're going to need tools to
systematically reverse engineer the EC now? Maybe we need to start
accumulating EC knowledge on a new coreboot.org page ... I am
realizing I don't understand them at all.

Hi, I'd like to know a bit more.
This basic use of the msr device has worked for a very long time. I'm
not saying there is not a problem, but if there is, it might be best
to change the struct than to add this code.
Do you have some assembly code showing how it failed?
For example ...
Do leaks really matter in this kind of program? Sure, you're going to
leak; how much? Sometimes with this type of code you let it leak, and
it ends up simpler otherwise. How much leakage are we talking about
here?
I only ask because I was talking to someone a year ago who did not
realize that the
has anyone ever looked at flashing an image smaller than the part and
auto-padding it? Someone just asked me about that.

Got the fix. I used dpcmd to update the firmware on the FS100 to 5.5.3
Then flashrom can program it with ease.
And, ironically, while dpcmd can update the firmware, it still can't flash
the part :-)

I will buy tickets today
Is anyone hanging around after the conference? I may stick around a
