Re: [flexbackup-help] Project status?

2017-01-12 Thread Dudi Goldenberg
Hi,

I am running version 1.2.1 on debian Jessie, jobs run fine, but the log has
this error:

root@mail:~# flexbackup
defined(@array) is deprecated at /usr/bin/flexbackup line 2688.
(Maybe you should just omit the defined()?)
defined(%hash) is deprecated at /usr/bin/flexbackup line 4886.
(Maybe you should just omit the defined()?)

flexbackup version 1.2.1 (http://flexbackup.sourceforge.net)
/etc/flexbackup.conf syntax OK

root@mail:~# uname -a
Linux mail 3.16.0-4-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 3.16.36-1+deb8u2 (2016-10-19) x86_64
GNU/Linux

root@mail:~# perl -v

This is perl 5, version 20, subversion 2 (v5.20.2) built for
x86_64-linux-gnu-thread-multi
(with 92 registered patches, see perl -V for more detail)

Copyright 1987-2015, Larry Wall

Is there a place where I can get a more updated version, or if not, how do I
get rid of the errors??

TIA & Regards,

D.

It is actively maintained in several distributions. I am kind one of the
(proxy)_ maintainers for Gentoo Linux. I have recently followed the sourceforce
process to get commit access to "abandoned" projects and hope to apply the
fixes that have been developed, clise the bugs that I can. It may take me
another month or two but, if your distribution has the package, what youy
install from the distribution will be much more up to date than what's on
sourceforge.

John

Well, you could always switch to Gentoo. ;) This issue is patched there.

Seriously, I'll try to get the SourceForge version updated over the next month
or so.

Good news. Please take a look at Gentoo bug 602382.

It's long-dead. I'm surprised the mailing list still works.

[flexbackup-help] Project status?

2017-01-04 Thread isdtor
What is the status of this project? I see 23 open bugs that look like they were
never updated, going back as far as 2004.
