I've discovered that if you load an invalid source into the VideoDisplay it will no longer work even if you change the source to a valid one later and will get the Error:1000 if you try to issue a Play() command. Might be a clue on how to work around your video problems. And of course if anyone

Is there way to dynamically extend a component instance that is already created? Basically I want to to store a couple additional properties in a component. I know that I can create an extended class that will work if I create the component from it. However is there a way to do this

I imagine this is something simple that I am missing but is there a way to test a variable to see if it exist. Specifically I have several components with IDs. So I can access them like this.idName or this[idName]. I need to way to know if this[idName] is a valid variable. I've tried

Thanks Matt, That makes sense, basically you are just telling the HTTPService to use myXmlConvert function to convert the object into XML. I thought HTTPService might have had a built in way of doing this conversion. I understand I can write my own code to do this but I would rather learn how
