I tried this approach, but using styleName does not give me the expected results... You can use styleName on Text's they work fine but not on UITextField, although it says it's a property of the UITextfield... who knows I'm relatively new at flex and swimming up stream all the time?
This is the only way I know how to style the UITextField, with the TextFormatter class... However the edges look pixelated...
